When the shoe fits

Please note that shoes mentioned in this post are fictional and any resembelence to situation present or past, and any shoe old or new is purely coincidential

Has this ever happened to you?

Scene 1:
You want to buy shoes, you walk into a store and you are browsing around when all of a sudden, you see it, sitting on the shelf. The most beautiful pair of shoes you ever laid your eyes on. You try it on and it fits but looks ugly on your feet. The glamour is all gone. You wonder ‘But they looked so stunning when the other girl in the store tried it’. You feel so angry and huff out of the shop.

Scene 2:
You want to buy shoes, you walk into a store and you are browsing around when all of a sudden, you see it, sitting on the shelf. The most beautiful pair of shoes you ever laid your eyes on. You try it on and it fits and look stunning. They were not what you intended to buy but you bought them anyways.

The next day you realize you made a big mistake because the shoes don’t go with your favorite dress or match most of your clothes. You wonder if you should keep them or return them. You decide to keep. You wear them out a few times, but each time you like them less and less. The initial charm is lost.

Soon you lose the desire to even look at them. They just lie around in the corner of your shoe rack. The next time you see them is the day you are moving out and you just throw them out.

Scene 3:
You want to buy shoes, you walk into a store and you are browsing around and you can’t find anything that matches your expectation. You randomly decide to try a pair that you spot. Guess what? It fits comfortably and looks great! You wonder how come you never noticed them before.

It matches nearly all your clothes. You wear it around and everyone notices it. Everyone wants to know where you got them. You still wonder how come you never noticed them.

Can the same be applied to more than shoes in our lives?
